The 23-year-old, who has shone for Dogos XV in Super Rugby Americas, is renowned for his physicality and dominance at the set piece. His standout season saw him named in the 2024 Team of the Season, while he also featured in Argentina’s historic victory over the British & Irish Lions in June.
Last term proved to be a breakout year for Wenger, who has already represented his country at Under-20 level, Argentina XV and now the senior Los Pumas squad. He will officially join up with his new teammates on October 6, once the 2025 Rugby Championship concludes.
“I’m looking forward to starting a new challenge and joining Harlequins,” said Wenger.
“I have heard great things about the Club and its supporters from Rodrigo! I’m excited to meet my new teammates and give my all for the Club.”
Head Coach Danny Wilson was full of praise for the signing:
“Securing the signing of Boris is a major boost for us and our front row options heading into the new season.
“He’s a powerful, technically gifted loosehead who brings a real physicality to the contact area and set piece. We’re delighted to welcome him and confident he’ll make an impact here at Harlequins.”
