All dates for this Summer's international tours including Lions, England and France v All Blacks

In this article, we breakdown all the touring plans for the coming months, as international rugby returns to the forefront of a spectacular Summer of sport. We'll provide all the key dates and TV channels that have been confirmed, so that you don't miss a moment of the action.

Kicking off our list is the unmissable quad-annual competition, that will see Andy Farrell piece together an all-star cast of the best players from England, Ireland, Wales & Scotland. There is no mistaking that this is the event of the Summer, as the Lions kick off their campaign in Dublin, before travelling to Australia for six warm-up fixtures and the all-important three Test series.

Up next is the England tour, with plenty of Steve Borthwick's top stars set to be away on Lions duties this Summer. The door will be open to the next generation of England stars and the fringe players that have been fighting for a break-through, as England fly across the Atlantic for a cross-continental tour of Argentina and the USA. Borthwick will have a chance to assess his troops before they head overseas, with an uncapped exhibition match against a France XV set to kick off their campaign. (Kick offs in GMT)

The 2025 Guinness Men's Six Nations champions head down to the land of the All Blacks, for a three match series that's set to heat up the Summer. France have been in formidable form this year, as they claimed their first Six Nations crown since 2022. France handed the All Blacks a one-point defeat (30-29) in an unforgettable Autumn Nations clash last November, with New Zealand out for revenge this July. (Kick off GMT)

Wales’ 2025 summer tour to Japan comes amid a 15-match losing streak dating back to October 2023. With no permanent head coach confirmed, it’s unclear if interim Matt Sherratt will lead the side, while Dave Reddin has been appointed as the WRU’s new Director of Elite Performance. Ranked 11th, Wales will face 13th-ranked Japan. Their last meeting was a narrow 33-30 Welsh win in 2016, after Japan earned a historic victory in 2013. The tour offers Wales a chance to end their worst-ever run and rebuild momentum ahead of a new coaching era.

Ireland’s upcoming summer matches against Georgia and Portugal offer interim head coach Paul O'Connell a valuable chance to lead the team while Andy Farrell is away coaching the British & Irish Lions. With Farrell expected to take many of Ireland’s top players with him to Australia, the tour presents a key opportunity for emerging talent to impress.

Following a third-place finish in the 2025 Six Nations, Ireland will look to reset and build depth. Georgia, fresh off winning their eighth consecutive Rugby Europe Championship title with a 46–28 victory over Spain, will provide a stern test. Portugal also showed strong form, reaching the semi-finals before falling 42–31 to Spain. Both sides have qualified for the 2027 Rugby World Cup and will bring high-intensity rugby.

Scotland’s 2025 summer rugby tour to New Zealand and the Pacific Islands provides a crucial opportunity to regain form following a mixed Six Nations campaign and a fourth placed finish to the Championship. The tour starts on 5 July against the Māori All Blacks at Semenoff Stadium in Whangārei, with further matches against Fiji and Samoa.

This tour allows Gregor Townsend to test new combinations, with key players like Finn Russell and Darcy Graham expectedly away with the British & Irish Lions. The matches will be key in building momentum ahead of November’s tests against the USA, New Zealand, Argentina, and Tonga.

Italy's 2025 summer rugby tour to Namibia and South Africa presents a tough challenge, especially with two Tests against the Springboks; the reigning double World Cup champions and currently the world’s top-ranked team. After a mixed 2025 Six Nations, where Italy secured a win over Wales but suffered a heavy 11-try loss to France, coach Gonzalo Quesada’s squad will look to add valuable experience of an underdog trip to South Africa to the constantly evolving Azzurri squad.

Georgia will be led down to South Africa for a standalone Test, by former England hooker and Interim England head coach Richard Cockerill. Georgia enter the match after once again taking the Rugby Europe Championship crown, yet face an almighty task against the double world-champion Springboks. This Test aligns with World Rugby’s initiative to provide emerging nations like Georgia with exposure to top-tier competition
