The Crusaders’ thrilling comeback win over the Chiefs may have come with a brutal sting in the tail after Will Jordan appeared to re-aggravate his calf injury.

Jordan failed to finish Friday night’s 36-32 win at One New Zealand Stadium, leaving the field during the final stages after struggling with the same issue that had already sidelined him for six weeks.
Crusaders coach Rob Penney admitted the club is anxiously awaiting updates.
“We’ve got our fingers and toes and everything else crossed that the outcome for Will this week is really positive,” Penney said.
There was at least some encouragement after fulltime, with Jordan spotted walking freely while wearing a compression sleeve on his right leg.
The injury concern is the last thing the defending champions needed as they continue to juggle fitness issues across the squad, including captain Scott Barrett.
Penney also backed Jordan’s mindset and professionalism as the All Blacks star faces another nervous wait.
“He’s such a great professional, he will do everything he can to be right.”
“He loves this group and wants to play for them, and let’s hope that’s the case.”
