Saracens have announced that club legend Alex Goode will step into the coaching ranks for the upcoming campaign.
After calling time on a glittering playing career in North London, Goode will now take on a part-time role as a specialist coach throughout the 2025/26 season.
The former full-back has already begun work with the squad during pre-season, offering his vast experience to an exciting group of young players while also mentoring the academy stars of the future.
Director of Rugby Mark McCall couldn’t be happier to see Goode remain at the club:
“Alex has been an outstanding servant to the club and is one of the most intelligent players to have worn the Saracens shirt.
His understanding of the game, leadership qualities, and ability to connect with people will mean he has a great impact in his new role.”
Goode himself admitted the chance to stay involved was too good to turn down:
“After being here for almost 20 years it was always going to be difficult to walk away entirely! I’m very grateful to the club for this opportunity and excited to work with such a talented group.”
