We take a look at five England hopefuls who impressed during the 2022/23 Gallagher Premiership final between Saracens and Sale Sharks.
#1. Owen Farrell (Saracens)
The fly-half delivered a captain's performance, showcasing his exceptional distribution skills throughout the game.
He expertly managed the flow of the match and displayed resolute defense. Notably, his decisive rip in contact resulted in Tuilagi losing possession, ultimately leading to Malins' impressive 50:22 play.
Furthermore, Farrell orchestrated Malins' try with a beautifully executed delayed short pass and later showcased his own brilliance with a remarkable 50:22 move at the 38th minute.
Thriving under the pressure of the big occasion, he emerged victorious in his individual battle against George Ford, leading Saracens to their sixth title.

#2. Max Malins (Saracens)
His performance in the early minutes of the game was exceptional, marked by his intelligence and forceful running lines.
Throughout the match, he displayed relentless determination in pursuit of Goode's kick, resulting in a penalty try after being unlawfully tackled without the ball.
Additionally, he showcased his superb finishing skills by executing a remarkable try, skillfully capitalizing on Owen Farrell's excellent pass and making his way to the try line.
Impressively, he covered a total of 67 meters, the most by any player on the team, and evaded six defenders, highlighting the immense talent and quality that Malins possesses.
#3. Theo Dan (Saracens)
Regrettably, Jamie George encountered a setback when he collided with Curry while executing a ball-carrying loop during the 11th minute lineout.
However, his apprentice, Dan, stepped up admirably when his team needed him the most. Notably, Dan exhibited an outstanding tackle count, showcasing his defensive prowess.
Moreover, he made a strong impact in carrying the ball forward, displaying impressive strength and determination.
He also pulled off that incredible 50:22.
#4. Tom Curry (Sale Sharks)
When he was on form, he demonstrated sheer brilliance, particularly when he sprinted down the flank, contributing to Ashman's try.
However, his own downfall came in the form of a foolish act that resulted in his team being reduced to 14 players. His untimely tackle on Malins, without the ball, led to a penalty try being awarded against his team.
Such sporadic moments can be expected from a dynamic back-row player, where a degree of unpredictability is inherent.
It's also worth acknowledging his commendable action of removing the Just Stop Oil protester from the field.
#5. Tom Roebuck (Sale Sharks)
The second-row player rose to the occasion, meeting the physical challenge posed by the Saracens pack with determination. Notably, he exhibited outstanding defensive skills, effectively halting the opposition's advances.
Early in the game, he showcased his strength by driving opposing players backwards, setting the tone for his team.
