"20 players leaving" - London Irish confirm their THIRD signing for the 2022/23 season

Former Australia scrum-half Nick Phipps is among 20 London Irish leavers following the conclusion of the team's 2021-2022 season.
Phipps, 33 joined the Exiles in January 2019 and has made 65 appearances for the club since, scoring six Premiership tries this term.
He was named one of the club captains a year after he joined.
In contrast only three new signings have been confirmed while Henry Arundel, Will Joseph and Tom Pearson have been promoted from the academy.

LONDON IRISH SIGNINGS:

#1. Luca Morisi

Morisi will join Declan Kidney’s set-up at Hazelwood this summer and bolster Irish’s options in midfield.
The dynamic centre made his debut for the Azzurri in 2012 and has since appeared 32 times for his country, representing them in four Guinness Six Nations campaigns and in the 2019 Rugby World Cup.
In two appearances at Twickenham, Morisi has managed to cross the whitewash three times and famously registered a brace against England in the 2015 Six Nations, contributing to his four tries in 15 tournament appearances.

#2. Danilo Fischetti

The 24-year-old will join the team at Hazelwood from the start of the 2022/23 campaign, having spent four seasons with the United Rugby Championship side.
Earning his first international call-up in 2020, Fischetti, a recent regular of the Azzurri, has 20 international caps and has represented his home nation in three consecutive Six Nations tournaments.
The loosehead prop has 41 Zebre appearances to date across the EPCR Challenge Cup, Rainbow Cup and United Rugby Championship, playing his part in notable wins against Dragons, Cheetahs, and Italian rivals Benetton Treviso.

#3. Joe Powell

The Melbourne Rebels have confirmed the departure of former Wallabies scrum-half, Joe Powell. He's headed overseas, expected to be announced by London Irish.
