Eight great reasons why you should date a rugby chick

Today’s blog is devoted to the sport I love and have been playing for years. Not everyone understands why you play this crazy sport, especially guys… but for a large proportion they actually think it’s kinda cool so here’s a bit of a fun blog and my reasons you should date a rugby chick:
1. She can watch the rugby with you...without asking about the rules.
Thats right! You can watch the six nations over the next few weeks and she’ll understand exactly what’s going on and will not complain about watching it! What’s even better, she probably enjoys watching other sports so will watch the footy or other teams you support
2. She can most likely down a pint (not me though)
Girls also have to down a pint when you get awarded man of the match and let me tell you I have seen some girls out drink most guys and be even rowdier on nights out when on team socials. Unfortunately I wasn’t blessed with this gift and the majority of said liquid will end up down my front also I am definitely what is called a ‘light weight’ but cheaper nights out for me right?
3. You don’t have to carry her bags as you know she should be strong
Next time you’re on a food shop watch her take 8 bags like some sort of strange octopus just to prove that she’s strong and doesn’t need your help or any mans help for that matter
4. She’s probably got a massive appetite too
That’s right she probably loves her food especially the night before game day just as much as you do! You’ll never have to worry about taking her to a restaurant and holding back on how much you order as she’s probably ordered a starter a main, 3 side plates and a dessert too
5. She goes to the gym like you and actually ‘lifts’
Most rugby girls will want to increase their strength and speed if they are pretty serious about it. So it’s most likely, just like you she has a gym routine and wants to work out. Therefore, it means no moaning to you about late nights or even weekends spent in the gym
6. She will be competitive at everything just like you
She will definitely not take the piss out of you for how competitive you were taking that crazy golf round because deep down she couldn’t think of anything worse than losing to you. You’re probably going to have a pretty competitive relationship, but that’s fun right?!♀️
7. People will assume you’re probably abusing her due to all the bruises
Ahaha… so maybe not a positive of dating a rugby girl but still a pretty funny one. There will be times when she also has had a bloody nose, a black eye and strange bruising EVERYWHERE.. now you’re probably going to encounter some judgemental looks from people and some questions asked (this has actually happened to me before) but it’s still a pretty funny rumour to clear up to people
8. She probably has rugby socials too when you go out with the ‘lads’
You most likely will not have to worry about her complaining that you’re going out with the ‘lads’ because her rugby team has probably got a big social that weekend too. The same rule applies for girls, you can’t just ditch the social for your relationship each week as you know ultimately there will be consequences
I hope you enjoyed this lighthearted slightly different blog today. Although we may be more ‘hardcore’ kind of girls we’re still just normal girls in reality, in fact, most people think I’m lying when I say I play rugby, but I like to think we’re a bit more fun♀️
