Rugby is a contact sport and we all enjoy a bit of the physical stuff at times, which is fine if kept inside the rules. The 10 players on this list have taken that physicality too far more than any others.
Some because they didn’t have the best temperament or attitude and a few because they’re just bad at timing challenges. Either way, these are the five men who have the most yellow cards in Gallagher Premiership history.
England prop Joe Marler continues to move up the rankings, and is now up to joint-third.
10. Jamie Gibson (Northampton Saints) - 10
9. Tim Payne (Wasps) - 10
8. Calum Clark (Saracens) - 10
5=. Christopher Hala'ufia (London Irish) - 11
5=. Danny Grewcock (Bath) - 11
5=. Tom Wood (Northampton Saints) - 11
4=. Chris Jones (Worcester Warriors) - 12
3=. Joe Marler (Harlequins) -12
2. Matthew Slater (Bristol Bears) - 14
1. David Paice (London Irish) - 19
