Newcastle Red Bulls will be desperate to end a full year without a Gallagher Premiership win when they host Leicester Tigers on Friday night.

There’s a debut on the cards for Tom Christie, the New Zealander arriving fresh from captaining the Crusaders to success back home. Meanwhile, Adam Brocklebank reaches a major milestone as he runs out for his 150th appearance for Newcastle.

Christie will hope to help turn the tide after a tough start to the campaign, with the Red Bulls losing all five of their fixtures so far. Northampton, meanwhile, arrive at the top of the table with four wins and a draw, boosted by a fully fit squad after last year’s injury woes.

The Saints are playing with real momentum, and with England fly-half Fin Smith eager to get minutes after a quiet autumn, they could prove too strong for a patched-up Bristol side.

A heavyweight clash rounds off the weekend as second-place Saracens host fourth-place Bath—two of the deepest squads in the Premiership.

Bath come into the game on the back of a rare treble of Premiership, Premiership Rugby Cup and Challenge Cup wins, showing they have the depth to thrive on multiple fronts. Saracens remain formidable, particularly up front, and could soon strengthen further with the rumoured addition of George Martin, though consistency has eluded them at times this season.

Bath haven’t fully hit their stride yet, and home advantage at StoneX Stadium could prove decisive.
