Ten Springboks set to face Bristol Bears in key Champions Cup match

The matchday lineup features no fewer than ten Springboks and will once again be captained by lock Ruan Nortje, underlining the Bulls’ intent for what shapes up as a pivotal encounter.

There is also a welcome return for scrum-half Embrose Papier, who delivered a Man of the Match performance last week after being drafted in at the eleventh hour. His partnership with Handré Pollard will be central to directing the Bulls’ ambitions.

In midfield, the dependable combination of Harold Vorster and David Kriel is reunited, although Canan Moodie is unavailable after being ruled out under concussion protocols.

Bristol arrive in Pretoria with a perfect record in the competition, having secured two wins from two matches, while the Bulls are still searching for their first victory after back-to-back defeats.

The home side will again be without winger Kurt-Lee Arendse (concussion) and No 8 Cameron Hanekom (knee), both of whom remain sidelined.

Currently on a six-match losing streak, including their opening two Champions Cup fixtures, the Bulls face mounting pressure. Saturday’s showdown therefore takes on must-win significance as they look to revive their campaign and keep their knockout hopes alive.
