Argentina team to face All Blacks - 2025 Rugby Championship Round 2

Argentina head coach Felipe Contepomi has named his side to take on the All Blacks, in the second round of the 2025 Rugby Championship. New Zealand cruised to a 41-24 victory over Los Pumas to kick off the campaign, with Argentina struggling to keep up with All Blacks as they reclaimed their spot at the top of the World Rugby Men's Rankings.

New Zealand cruised to a comfortable lead in their recent trip down to Cordoba, to establish a healthy deficit that the blue and whites could not break down, despite some second half tries from Tomas Albornoz and Jaoquin Oviedo. Contepomi has made just two changes to his squad from the opening round, with Juan Martin Gonzalez Samso promoted into the starting XV, as Marcos Kremer drops down to the replacements bench.

Mateo Carreras comes in on the left wing after missing last weekend’s game, moving Bautista Delguy to the right touchline. Rodrigo Isgro drops out of the match day squad for the second weekend of the Rugby Championship. Carreras and Gonzalez each took starring roles in Los Pumas’ 2024 win over New Zealand, as Carreras bagged a try, whilst Gonzalez Samso made five domiant hits - the bets for the match.
