"Former Scotland Head Coach" Romania Bolster Training Staff with Vern Cotter

The Eastern European side have added former Scotland Head Coach Vern Cotter to their staff, with the New Zealander taking up a consultant role.

Cotter is soon to be joining up with the Auckland Blues in Super Rugby, and has plentiful international experience from a coaching perspective.

The 61-year-old has previously held coaching roles with Scotland, taking them through the 2015 Rugby World Cup quarter-finals, as well as a stint with Fiji.

Romania posted a quote from Cotter on their official Twitter page:

“I am glad to be part of Rugby Romania's World Cup adventure.

"I have been overseeing their preparation since this year's Rugby Europe Championship and I will be involved as an advisor for the RWC, hoping the Oaks will evolve, play some good games and exceed everyone's expectations.”
